My boyfriend planned to check out the Niagara Falls on a long weekend and I just couldn’t say no to my favorite vacation spot. So on May 23rd 2009 morning we reached Niagara and in the evening at 4 pm we got into our blue raincoats to take a ride of the ‘Maid of the Mist’, the world famous boat ride of Niagara. So on May 23rd 2009 morning we reached Niagara and in the evening at 4 pm we got into our blue raincoats to take a ride of the ‘Maid of the Mist’, the world famous boat ride of Niagara. Our boat had reached under the Cave of the Winds and I began admiring the beauty and excitement of that place. “Wow! This is so amazing” that’s what I said to Dominic, though looking towards the huge waterfall. I suddenly realized that he is not responding and I turned back to watch him on his knees with a beautiful diamond ring in his hand.
I was still thinking what to tell when he popped up, “Linda, will you marry me?” For the next one minute I just kept smiling and giggling with joy. “Yes, how wouldn’t I”, I said with tears in my eyes. He stood up, gave me a hug and kissed me. That’s when I heard some people cheering and applauding. That was the second surprise. My best friends Christine, Sarah, Adler and Dominic’s friends Olivia and Braden were surrounding both of us and I stood there jaw-dropped. Later in the evening we celebrated this lovely proposal with champagne and dinner at a wonderful restaurant.

My Surprise Proposal in Salsa Class

I and Rebecca had started dating each other in the Level 1 of our salsa classes and fell completely in love in just a few days. On October 31 ’08, when we were in the Level 5 of salsa, I planned up a surprise proposal to Rebecca along with all my salsa mates and tutors Benny & Pearl. Our usual class timings were 6.30 pm. So on the big day, we switched off the lights and waited for Rebecca to arrive. She finally entered in the ballroom at 6.40 and was shocked to see the darkness. Suddenly my frie...

Suddenly my friend George switched on the lights and Rebecca was so amazed to see the hall full of balloons and festoons. A live Latin band played a nice lively music at the corner of the room as everyone greeted Rebecca with an unusual look.
Rebecca couldn’t wait but ask Pearl, “What is all this about and where is Carl?” Pearl smiled when Rebecca got a vague idea of what this all could be. Well, she was right. I entered the scene singing ‘Will you marry me’ by John Berry. As the song came to an end, the music stopped and I landed near Rebecca on my knees with a ring in my hand. In a chivalrous voice I said on the mike, “Rebecca, Wanna be with you for all eternity. I swear my love for you will always be. On bended knees, Baby, here I am asking you, Will you marry me?"
And what else could you expect from a woman, except from running down into tears in such a situation. So I stood up, took her in my arms and after five minutes she finally said yes. I slipped in the ring on her finger and as she admired the ring, I went back on my knees to ask her, “Shall we dance?” Without any delay she replied, “Oh sure!!” And the celebration took off with a less-practiced but a charming salsa performance by both of us.
One class fellow has the whole video of the fabulous surprise bash. I’d like to share it with all in case there’s a provision to upload it here.

I had been pulling Edmond into marriage since two years, but he always felt he is not prepared. I was left downhearted just hoping in the back of my mind that soon he proposes to me for marriage. On the evening of March 28 ‘09 while we were shopping at a grocery store, I noticed Edmond is not at all attentive. He became very hasty by the time we cleared the bill. Thinking of his strange behavior I stepped out of the store. As I walked out, in the usually-empty parking area I could see 7-8 cars standing in a line facing me and their headlamps blinking rhythmically.
I was astonished. Suddenly all the lights turned off and headlamp of one car from the left side turned on and its light fell on the other cars. This time I could see huge cards of various alphabets above the cars. It took two minutes for me to understand that it’s written “Marry me”. I turned on the side and saw Edmond kneeling down with a diamond ring in his hand and saying, “Pamela, will you marry me?” I just jumped in his arms and said “Yes Darling! I love you. Thank you for the lovely surprise”. He slipped on the ring in my finger and we indulged in a passionate kiss while the headlamps kept twinkling.

My boyfriend was a professional parasailor on the Daytona Beach in Florida and I’d met him in August 2006 while going for my first parasailing experience. We started dating and found our soul mates in each other. After that I’d gone for parasailing numerous times with him, so much that I got bored of it by the end. One day in March 2008 he told me to come with him to parasail again. I tried to forefend the plan but on his insistence I agreed to go. We were on the top of the skies when he told me, “Parasailing brought us together. So I always wanted to do this while parasailing. Nora, Will you marry me?” There he removed a lovely solitaire ring from his trunks’ pocket. I was amazed. I was surprised. But I was equally afraid if this expensive ring falls off from his hand. I said to him in a delirious tone, “Baby, Are you crazy?” He screamed loudly, “Yes I am! Now please tell me will you marry me?” I smiled and said, “Yes darling. I’ll marry you. And you know what?”……… “I Love you” I screamed louder than him. I put forth my hand and he quickly slipped the ring on my finger. We may now sound like screwballs if I say that in fact we even had a nice sweet kiss while flying in the air. Haha!

After two months of a highly busy schedule, we finally found time for each other on a weekend. So we planned up to do some bar-hopping in Manhattan on that evening. Sterling was too high and he kept on saying, “I love you Molly & I want to spend the whole life with you”. I could feel the ring box in the pocket of his jacket and so I expected it to come out straight on my finger any moment. The whole evening passed away in our deep and romantic talks, but the ring never came out. I thought may be he had something else in mind. May be he’d propose to me on the way home. Hand in hand we reached home and Sterling dozed off straight on the bed. I went on the bed sympathizing myself, “May be he’s pretending and may be he has planned up to wake me up and then propose”.
Well I was tired and couldn’t be awake to think more. The next morning I got busy preparing the breakfast and had completely forgotten the ring, when my darling boyfriend rubbing his eyes came in the kitchen and said to me, “Sorry I forgot to do this last evening. Will you marry me?” And there was the ring in his hand finally. I said yes and tightly hugged my forgetful but truly adorable boyfriend (now husband).
