B2C Jewels Grading System
Clarity
Clarity is a term traditionally used to define the quality of a polished diamond. The clarity of a diamond is based on the presence of inclusions (internal) or blemishes (external) flaws visible under 10x magnifications. This determines the appearance of the diamond and in turn its value.
B2C Jewels Grading System provides a total of 32 clarity grades from FL to 16, whereas the other grading systems consider only 12 clarity grades. The addition of 'better (+)' and 'lower (-)' grades between the standard clarity grade, e.g. SI1+, SI1 and SI1-, have significantly resulted in enhancing the precision details as well as pricing. The explanation is provided in the below example:

Clarity – Table Inclusion
This explains the magnitude or impact of the inclusion(s) (if any) in the table, in comparison to the total inclusions in the diamond.
In the B2C Jewels Grading System, T0 indicates a table which is almost clean; T1, T2, and T3 indicate tables with increasing proportions of inclusions visible through the table. And T4 denotes that most inclusions appear to be in the table.
Each of the above mentioned sub-grades, i.e. from T0 to T4, impact the price of a diamond which is occasionally considered by the other grading standards. These are explained below:

Clarity – Black Inclusion
Black Inclusions are inclusions entrapped within a diamond and appear black in color. This aspect indicates the magnitude /impact of black inclusion(s), affecting the overall clarity of a diamond, as compared to the total inclusions. These inclusions are generally referred to as 'Natts’.
In the B2C Grading System, N0 indicates No Black Inclusion in the diamond; N1, N2 and N3 indicate diamonds with increasing proportions of black inclusions. And N4 denotes that most of the inclusion(s) in the diamonds are Black.
Again, each of the 5 sub-grades, i.e. from N0 to N4, directly impacts the pricing of a diamond which is not usually considered by other grading standards. These are explained below:

Clarity – Inclusion Pattern
This feature indicates how densely the inclusions are located within the diamond, i.e. whether their pattern is concentrated or scattered.
In the B2C Jewels Grading System, S1 (Scattered) indicates scattered inclusions in the diamond, S2 (Semi Scattered), C1 (Light Concentrated) and C2 (Semi Concentrated) indicates diamonds with increasing proportions of their concentration and C3 denotes inclusions which is the most concentrated.
This feature too is unique to the B2C Jewels Grading System as each of the five sub-grades, i.e. from S1 to C3, directly impacts the price of a diamond which again is not generally considered by other grading standards. These are explained below:

Clarity – Internal Graining
These are the naturally occurring lines, sometimes even clustered illustrating irregular growth during formation of the diamond crystal. These line like structures are usually transparent and invisible to the naked eye. They affect the clarity and hence the price of high clarity diamonds.
In the B2C Jewels Grading System, G0 indicates No Internal Graining in the diamond, G1(Light Internal Graining), G2(Medium Internal Graining) which indicates diamonds with increasing proportions of internal graining and G3 (Heavy Internal Graining). Each of the four sub-grades, i.e. from G0 to G3, directly impacts the pricing of a diamond which is not normally considered by other grading standards, These are explained below:

Clarity – Opens
When an inclusion or a feather within a diamond is open near the surface, or if there is a chip, cavity, pit or nick on the surface of the diamond, then such flaws are graded as ‘Opens’.
The specifications for easily locating opens in a diamond are listed below:
TOP indicates Opens in the Table
COP indicates Opens in the Crown
POP indicates Opens in the Pavilion
In the B2C Jewels Grading System, NN indicates No Open Inclusions in the diamond, VS (Very Small Open), SM (Small Open), MD (Medium Open), LG (Large Open), VL (Very Large Open) indicates diamonds with increasing proportions of open inclusions and EL (Extra Large Open). All these sub-grades influence the price of a diamond as explained in the below example:
