B2C Jewels Grading System
Color
Color is a significant aspect in valuing diamonds. Diamonds can range from colorless to yellow, brown etc. The more colorless a diamond, the greater is its rarity, worth and price.
Conventional grading systems usually cover only 32 color grades, but the B2C Jewels Grading System provides a total of 44 color grades from D+ to R with the addition of ‘better (+)’ and ‘lower (-)’ grades between the standard color grade (e.g.: G+, G, and G-). All these grades (including sub-grades) impact the pricing, which is explained in the table below:

Color Shade (Hue)
Apart from color, other factors such as the shade or hue and the inherent fluorescence in a diamond also affect its overall color and are critical in the grading process. At times, a diamond crystal is found to have nitrogen or boron atoms along with carbon atoms. These form bonds giving rise to ‘color centre’, which radiates a deeper shade across the diamond. This process gives the diamond a Hue or Tone.
Depending on the intensity of concentration of these color centers, B2C has 12 graded color shades. All these sub-grades influence the price of a diamond, which is explained in the below mentioned table:
