B2C Jewels Grading System
Luster
Luster is the quality and quantity of light reflected from the surface of a diamond. In common expression this is also referred to as brilliance, sparkle, shine or fire reflected from a diamond.
In the B2C Jewels Grading System, 'EX' indicates 'Excellent Luster', 'VG' indicates 'Very Good', 'GD' indicates 'Good' and 'FR' indicates 'Fair' (i.e. decreasing amount of Luster). All these sub-grades also impact the pricing of the diamond.
Furthermore, some diamonds may contain a little whiteness or cloudiness, which are identified as 'Milky Luster Diamonds'. Such diamonds are further classified into sub categories depending upon the extent of the milky effect in them.
